Membership benefits

Customs and trade membership benefits

Advice when a customs question needs answering, introductions when you need a provider, and opportunities to do business with other members. TCSA membership brings together support for the day-to-day work of international trade.

Membership is open to organisations working across customs, freight, logistics and international trade. Benefits and advisory allowances vary by membership level.

Member discounts and offers

Preferential rates from participating members and on selected TCSA services.

Access member-to-member offers on relevant business services, alongside member pricing on eligible TCSA work. Contact us about your requirements and we will explain the available offers and how to use them.

Offers from participating members
Businesses in the network make preferential rates available to other members on the services they provide. Each offer is set by the member offering it.
Member pricing on TCSA services
Selected TCSA services carry reduced member rates. Where TCSA delivers the work, TCSA sets the rate. Where a member provider delivers it, that provider sets its own rate.
Included rather than discounted
The advisory allowance, industry updates, the resource library, event access and eligibility for procurement requirements are included in membership, not sold as a discounted extra.

Where an inspection carries a member discount, this is confirmed in the quotation. Members can also contact TCSA about making an offer available to the network.

Not every service and not every member provider offers a discount.

Customs advice and technical support

Discuss a customs question, check your approach or get a second opinion.

Ask for help with classification, origin, valuation, customs procedures, duty relief and trade documentation. Support can also cover questions raised by customers and reviews of your existing processes.

Accredited Member and Partner Member organisations include an annual advisory allowance of 20 hours. Partner Member requests receive priority response.

If a request needs work beyond that allowance, we agree the scope and cost with you first. Advisory support is operational guidance, not legal advice.

Business opportunities and introductions

Receive relevant enquiries and connect with businesses that complement your own.

TCSA matches customer requirements to members' services, experience and geographic coverage. These may include customs work, freight contracts, warehousing, software, training and compliance assignments.

We also help with introductions for subcontracting, specialist referrals and support in other markets. You choose which opportunities to pursue.

Priority consideration depends on membership level and suitability for the requirement. Membership does not guarantee contracts or a set number of enquiries.

Finding suppliers and arranging services

Help finding the right provider for a shipment, project or ongoing requirement.

Tell us what you need and we can help identify a suitable customs broker, freight forwarder, warehouse operator, software supplier or specialist adviser.

For requirements involving several services or locations, managed procurement support can help you compare the options. Any charges are agreed before work begins.

Trade updates, guidance and resources

Follow developments affecting your operations and customers.

Access trade updates, industry circulars, country guidance and the member resource library. Use them to prepare for changes, answer customer questions and support your team's work.

Where a development raises a question about your own business, you can bring it to the advisory team.

Training, events and professional connections

Relevant learning, industry events and opportunities to meet other members.

Explore courses, briefings and industry events, or discuss training for your team.

We highlight available member rates and event offers, including ticket discounts agreed with participating organisers. Training and attendance fees are separate unless expressly included in your membership.

Membership recognition and visibility

Show your membership and contribute your expertise.

Members receive a membership certificate and permission to use the TCSA membership mark under its usage terms.

Partner membership also includes increased profile prominence, opportunities to contribute articles and industry commentary, an annual membership review and early access to new TCSA initiatives.

Editorial contributions are considered on merit and are not a guarantee of publication.
