Why training providers join TCSA
A clearer route to professional recognition and relevant learners
TCSA provides a structured framework for organisational participation, course-level assessment and visibility across the international-trade community.
Course Approval
Submit eligible courses for independent review against defined TCSA criteria covering relevance, structure, learning outcomes, delivery and assessment.
Training Directory
Present approved courses within the TCSA training directory, with structured information that helps members identify potentially relevant learning.
Approval Evidence
Use a controlled TCSA Approved Course badge and public approval record for courses that successfully complete assessment.
Member-Network Recognition
Enable TCSA members to identify and verify training that has been reviewed within the TCSA course-approval framework.
TCSA recognition confirms approval within the TCSA framework. It does not constitute statutory accreditation or guarantee acceptance by every employer, regulator or professional body.
Operational support
Strengthen the quality and administration of your training offer
Course Review
Receive an independent review of an eligible course's scope, structure, intended audience, learning outcomes, materials, delivery approach and assessment methodology.
Quality-Framework Alignment
Understand how a course aligns with TCSA's applicable professional standards and where further evidence or improvement may be required.
Regulatory Intelligence
Access relevant customs, logistics and international-trade developments that may affect course content or learner requirements.

Training Directory Visibility
List eligible approved courses within a structured directory used by international-trade professionals and organisations seeking relevant training.
Verifiable Approval Status
Provide learners, employers and procurement teams with a public TCSA-hosted record confirming the current approval status and approved scope.
Controlled Approval Badge
Use the TCSA Approved Course badge on approved course pages and promotional material, subject to the applicable usage rules.
Relevant Audience Access
Present training to customs, freight, logistics, software, consulting and importer/exporter audiences within the wider TCSA network.
Training Requirements

Educational Contributions
Contribute relevant technical education, briefings or guidance subject to editorial review, professional standards and available opportunities.
TCSA does not promise student enrolments, sales, procurement awards, member referrals, course-pass rates, employer acceptance or regulatory recognition. Approval confirms that an eligible course has been independently reviewed within the TCSA framework.
Two distinct assessments
Provider participation and course approval are not the same
Training Provider Membership

May include
- TCSA membership status
- Membership certificate and mark
- Member resources and briefings
- Network participation
- Relevant procurement access
- Eligibility to submit courses for approval
- Accreditation pathways where applicable
Provider membership does not automatically approve any individual course.
TCSA Approved Course
Course approval confirms that a specific course has been reviewed against the applicable TCSA training criteria and approved for a defined scope and review period.
May include
- Approved Course status
- Public course-approval record
- Training-directory listing
- Controlled approval badge
- Approved scope and intended audience
- Approval and review dates
- Recognition within the TCSA framework
- Periodic reassessment
Approval applies only to the named course, approved version, delivery format and scope shown in the public record.
Course approval
What the course review may assess
TCSA course review should be proportionate to the course's scope, delivery method and intended professional audience.
Provider Standing
Current organisational status, relevant experience and responsibility for course delivery.
Subject Relevance
Clear relevance to customs, freight, logistics, compliance, supply chains or international trade.
Learning Outcomes
Defined outcomes explaining what successful learners should know or be able to do.
Course Structure
A coherent syllabus, appropriate sequencing and sufficient depth for the stated course level.
Technical Content
Current, accurate and appropriately sourced material within the approved subject scope.
Trainer Competence
Relevant professional knowledge, delivery experience and subject-matter credentials.
Learner Assessment
Appropriate methods for assessing understanding or competence where the course awards a certificate or qualification.
Quality Assurance
Processes for learner feedback, complaints, content review and continuous improvement.
Accessibility and Delivery
Clear delivery arrangements, learner support and reasonable accessibility considerations.
Governance and Integrity
Accurate marketing, transparent course claims, ethical conduct and appropriate record management.
Not every criterion will apply in the same way to every course. TCSA may request supporting evidence or improvements before approval is granted.
How it works
From submission to public approval record
01
Provider Eligibility
The provider joins TCSA or confirms its eligibility to participate in the course-approval framework.
02
Course Submission
The provider submits the course scope, syllabus, learning outcomes, materials, trainer information and assessment methodology.
03
Independent Review
TCSA reviews the submitted evidence against the applicable course-approval criteria.
04
Clarification or Improvement
Where necessary, TCSA requests further evidence, corrections or improvements before reaching a decision.
05
Approval and Publication
Approved courses receive a defined approval scope, public approval record, directory listing and controlled badge access.
06
Ongoing Review
Approval remains subject to review, material-change notification and periodic reassessment.
TCSA does not promise a fixed approval time. Indicative timelines are confirmed on receipt of a submission and depend on scope and responsiveness.
Recognition
Recognition within the TCSA member network
TCSA members can use the training directory and public approval records to identify courses and qualifications reviewed within the TCSA framework. Approved status provides a consistent reference point for employers, practitioners and procurement teams evaluating relevant professional training.
Recognition within the TCSA network does not require an individual member organisation to accept a qualification for employment, promotion, regulatory competence or procurement purposes. Each organisation retains responsibility for its own requirements and decisions.
